Kannon, fondly referred to as Ellie Hunter's "Little Brown Jug" or "LBJ", is the lone fawn boy from the Abu x Baelan litter, and did not disappoint on his first weekend in the ring. Handled by Ellie, he took Reserve Winners Dog at the second of two Western Great Dane Club of BC Specialities before taking Winners Dog with Peggy at the All-Breed Show the next day for his first two points.

At the Alberta Kennel Club Shows, he shared puppy wins with his sister, but held his own, taking Best of Winners on the third day for four more points, and winners dog on the last day for another three. He attained his Canadian Championship in the best way, taking Best of Breed over Specials, making him the second Champion out of this litter.

His first full weekend out as a Special, at seven months old, Kannon went out and took the puppy ring by storm, taking Best Puppy in the Working Group all three days, and Best Puppy in Show on the last day. Thank you very much to Dr Robert Smith, Mrs Polly Smith, and Mrs Linda Saranchuk for Kannon's Puppy Group wins, and to Mrs Linda Saranchuk for the Best Puppy in Show win. Also, thank you to Tammy Sawatzky for presenting Kannon to his win under Dr Smith.

Kannon's first trip to the States was a great success. He took Winners Dog and Best of Winners on three out of four days of showing, as well as Best of Opposite under respected judge Pat Hastings, and a Best Puppy in Group under Janet Sinclair. He has already recieved seven points toward his American Championship, including one of two required majors.

Just after turning 9 months old, Kannon went to the Camrose show, and took not only the Puppy Group, but a Group 2nd in a very competitive working group, under Christian Gomez. The next weekend, he took his second Best Puppy in Show under judge Judith Byrne, after taking a Group 3 and Puppy Group under Charles Olvis, and then took a Group 4 and Puppy Group under Judith Byrne. His puppy career was capped off by taking a Group 2 and Puppy Group under judge Joan Beech, before he took a Group 1 and Puppy Group under Mike MacBeth, and his final Best Puppy in Show under Melvin Beech!

Soon after his first birthday, we received Kannon's Grand Championship Certificate, which he attained at ten months old, making him the youngest Great Dane to achieve Canadian Grand Champion Status. We would like to thank all the judges who have recognized this young dog's potential.

At seventeen months old, Kannon went down the the Copper Circuit in Montana. He finished his American Championship with three majors from the twelve to eighteen month class.

We headed back to the Western Great Dane Club of BC Specialties in 2014, to return to the place where the puppies made their show debut. At the first of two Specialties, Kannon took Best of Breed, under breeder judge Donna Clark. He then took Select Dog at the second Specialty, receiving wonderful recognition for such a young dog, at 18 months of age.

Just six days later, Kannon took the Great Dane Club of Canada Western Division Regional Specialty, under judge Francine Schwartz, as well as taking Best of Breed three out of four days at the Alberta Kennel Club's Summer Classic.

Kannon is bred by Peggy Mignon and Katie Chappelle and owned and presented by Peggy Mignon, ocasionally presented by Katie Chappelle.
